Construction
SA contactors consist of:
– three-pole, double-break main circuit contact system,
– extinguishing chamber equipped with a contactor status indicator located in the central hole,
– two units of the auxiliary circuits,
– alternative current electromagnet drive.

SA contactors can be equipped with a mutual mechanical interlocking system (independent of electrical interlocking). Extinguishing chambers, electromagnet drive coils, moving and fixed contacts of main circuits can be easily removed and exchanged. Spare parts list is attached to the service manual provided together with a contactor.

Application
Main application of the SA contactors is remote switching of threephase alternative current circuits in conditions specified by utilization category AC3 and AC4 (switching of squirrel-cage motors). Switching of slipring motors (category AC2) or heating devices (category AC1) is also possible. Ambient temperature shall not exceed +55 °C and shall not be lower than -25 °C near to contactor without enclosure. Operating conditions in non-typical applications shall be agreed with manufacturer. SA contactors are designed for indoor use in wide range of climatic conditions at the altitude up to 2000 m a.s.l. and shall be installed on stiff, vertical supporting structures not exposed to heavy vibrations or shocks. Contactor’s current paths shall be guided vertically. SA contactors fulfil requirements of PN-EN 60947-4-1standard.

Application: Connecting 1÷2 cores of Al and Cu power cables to busbars, terminals of disconnectors, fuse bases etc. The clamps are suitable for all the kinds of cable cores, i.e. sector stranded (sm), sector solid (se), round stranded (rm), round solid (re).

Structure: A complete clamp set consists of VD clamp and PV terminal plate. The appropriate combination can be set by the user.
