SBS sets: two SA contactors with mechanical interlocking
Construction
SBS set consist of two SA
contactors located on the same board and coupled through the mechanical
interlocking. In this system it is possible to switch on in the given
moment only one of these contactors. After switching on one of the
contactors, the second one is mechanically blocked.
Application
The SBS set is intended only for swit-ching AC circuits. It can be used in the systems for automatic switching to reserve supply, in reversible systems and in all situations, where mistakenly executed switching on of two contactors in the same time leads to short circuit and possible damage of the equipment. These systems shall also have additional electrical interlocking. For this one shall connect in series the coils of each of the contactors included in this interlocking with the NC contact of the auxiliary switch belonging to the other contactor. Each contactor has got on one side auxiliary switches 1NO + 2NC or 3NO+3NC. When using automatic control it is necessary to set delay between the subsequent operations of the contactors, which is notshorter then 1 s, due to inertia of the mechanical interlocking system.
