Direct start-up devices in metal enclosure
Construction
Direct start-up device type BSA
it is a set consisting of the SA contactor and the thermal relay
sensitive to overloads with manual resetting. The complete is contained
in the metal enclosure protected against corrosion with powder coating
in RAL 7032 color. At the bottom and at the top of the enclosure are
located cover plates; in these plates are to be drilled holes for
sealing glands through which cables of the maincircuit can be led to
the inside of the enclosure. In the bottom part of the enclosure are
situated the sealing glands of DW13S type for the cables supplying
control circuits. Control circuits include pushbuttons START-STOP for
ocal control, light signaling indicating the operational status of the
start-up device and threaded connectors for connecting the remote
control. Used thermal relay of 10 A class is intended for standard
start-up times in the range from 2 s up to 10 s and for start-up
currents Ir ≤ 6 x In.
Application
Direct start-up devices BSA are intended for the direct start-up and the stoppage of 3-phase motors and for the protection of these motors against effects of working overloads. They enable maneuvering the motors with rating currents in the range from 60 A to 200 A and switching voltage up to 690 V / 50 Hz, operating in conditions determined by usage cate-gory AC2/AC3. Start-up devices are adapted for in-stallation in indoor premises without air-conditioning or for installation under umbrella roof, at the ambient temperatures within the range from - 20 ÷ +40 °C, at temperate climate conditions and at sites located up to 2000 above seal level. Direct starters of BSA type fulfill requirements of PN-EN 60947-4-1 standard.
