SV5...6 vacuum contactors

Three-pole alternative current vacuum contactors rated up to
125 A or 160 A and voltage up to 1000 V

Construction
Vacuum contactors SV Consisting of:
– 3-pole contact system including three vacuum chambers with single-break contacts; the contact pressure for these contacts is the difference between the forces resulting from pressures existing outside and inside of the vacuum chamber,
– DC electromagnetic drive, supplied from the AC source through the rectifier, fixed to the supporting structure of the contactor,
– auxiliary contacts,
– other construction elements.

Vacuum latchtype contactors SV-5/Z and SV-6/Z are equipped with latch mechanism, witch precludes return of the contactor to resting state after the switch-off of the driving electromagnet coil supply. Unlocking of the latch takes place after energizing the release coil or mechanically by pressing the pin coupled directly with the release electromagnet armature.

Note!
In case, when in the circuit there are electronic elements, it is recommended to use surge arresters of OPL type.

Application
Vacuum contactors of SV... type are intended for switching AC circuits 50 Hz or 60 Hz (they can not be used in DC circuits). In particular they can be used for:
– Control of electrical motors with supply voltage up to 1000 V in continuous, intermittent or occasional operation conditions, classified in usage category AC2, AC3 and AC4.
– Drive circuits control in mining industry, due to high capacity for switching short-circuit (disturbance) currents.
– Switching electrical devices used in chemical industry, due to the capacity for arc interruption in the vacuum chamber, which protects the contacts from effects of the aggressive atmosphere influence.
– Applications in circuits of drives enclosed in hermetic or dust-proof enclosures, due to the low thermal losses.
– Applications in automatics circuits, which require sustained and failure free switching operation of a contactor.

Vacuum contactors of SV... type can be installed indoors in various climate conditions, at the sites up to the height 1000 m above sea level. Vacuum contactors of SV... type fulfill requirements of PN-EN 60947-4-1 standard.
