ZJUN Terminal Blocks Compliant with the New IEC TS 60947-7-5:2021 Standard

A new standard, IEC TS 60947-7-5:2021, has been developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for terminal blocks used in distribution and control cabinets, including Al/Cu terminal blocks designed for connecting aluminium conductors.

All ZJUN, ZJUN-2x, ZJUN-3x and ZJUN-5x terminal blocks, in cross-sectional sizes ranging from 16 to 240 mm², have been tested by an accredited laboratory for compliance with Clause 9.4.6 of this standard. All tested products successfully passed the short-circuit test with aluminium conductors installed in the terminals.

The IEC TS 60947-7-5:2021 technical specification supplements the existing standards PN-EN 60947-1:2021-07 and PN-EN 60947-7-1:2012.

Using terminal blocks designed for connecting both copper and aluminium conductors, and tested in accordance with the above technical specification and applicable standards, helps ensure the reliability and efficient operation of electrical power distribution systems.
